Practicing Watercolor…

April 16th, 2012 | painting/pintar, watercolors | 0 Comments

In February my mom gave me a super special present. A watercolor travel set. It’s perfect for me since I’ve been using those huge watercolors for children and having something more “professional” made me want to learn more about watercolor. I’m always dreaming about having these amazing skills I see on other blogs everyday and it’s easy to feel sad when I feel so far away from that level. But the truth is: they practiced a lot and they keep practicing.
So I’ll keep practicing too, hoping to be more and more everyday.

Painting with watercolor…

April 5th, 2012 | painting/pintar, watercolors | 0 Comments

Lately I’ve been doing lots of watercolors, it has been my main craft/art during these short holidays.
One of the reasons I love watercolor is how it’s easy to do it almost anywhere, with acrylics or oil it’s way more messy. Even if I want to use my fingers, with watercolor it’s super easy to clean up.
I have been changeling myself to draw more and having something quick to put a color on it it’s so much fun!

Do you like the photo? I did some crazy editing on Picnik. It’s sad to see that it’s almost closing, I don’t use it much but I’ll miss it anyway…
Btw I’m hoping to scan soon what I’ve been drawing, can’t wait to show you!

Watercolor Palette

There’s still almost two weeks before my school begins again but I’m going to start to post less often, I loved to post almost everyday during the holidays but with college it’ll be pretty impossible so I’m trying to save up a few posts for later :) I’ve been super lazy lately, watching tv shows, doing nothing special really. I’m trying to cease the last few days, relaxing a lot without worrying about anything. But I’m still crafting of course :)
I’ve been doing some experiments with watercolors, inspired by this I made my own watercolor palette. This made me realize that I want more vivid colors in my watercolor set.

It was something so simple and peaceful to do.
btw if you don’t know the blog Elvie Studio, you’re missing a lot, seriously she’s so talented, I’m always happy when she posts something new! She’s one of the reasons I’ve been very inspired to try new things with watercolors! Lori has an unique style and everything she does it’s simply amazing! (can you tell I’m her fan?)
