New layout!

April 3rd, 2012 | blog | 0 Comments

I have been working on tweaking my blog these past few days and I can now say how much I love the final result! If you are reading this in a feed reader, I ask you to come visit, I’m sure you’ll like it!
This blog redesign has been on my mind for long but I kept putting it off. Now on easter holidays (only until Monday sadly) I thought it was now or never. I actually have college things to do but I needed some holidays so I took care of my blog =D.
One of the things I added here on the blog was a design page. Why you ask? I’m finishing college this July (if everything goes well) and I really want to start to get financially independent. My brother will be entering college next fall and I don’t want to be a burden to my parents. I know they don’t feel this way but still I know how hard it is. That was the first reason. The second reason is that after getting my bachelors on computer science try to get a job in webdesign/webdevelopment so that kind of experience would be amazing to show off in my job interviews. To be honest I’m still not sure if it’s the career I truly want but I will have to figure it out right?

If you’ve got any suggestions in the layout or see any bugs, please let me know! I’m considering accepting sponsor exchanges but not sure if anyone would be interested, if you’re contact me.

Year on Review 2011 – Part 2

January 6th, 2012 | blog | 0 Comments

If you missed the first part please click here. I’m going to talk a little bit more about my year today!

July

I always wanted to put a little color in my hair but didn’t really want to dye it so I made a purple extension! I started to get more interested in analog cameras too. I postponed my dream of going to France when I failed my driving exam but I also made two awesome things I’m super proud of: my Book Nerd shirt and my Doodle Dress.

August

August was a great month, I was super inspired and I loved working on August: No-Spending Month, it was the first time I had guest posters and having this theme made me not spend any money during August! This month I passed my driving exam and became more obsessed with anime. I also took lots of photos!

September

I became tired of having two languages in the same area and now everything is neatly separated. I sewed a Newspaper Wallet which was something I never thought I could do. I also made some necklaces before cleaning my bedroom for the new year of college!

October

I guest posted in Punk Projects with my watercolor clock tutorial and was featured in OnePrettyThing! I baked my favorite recipe of chocolate cookies. October is my birthday month and I decided to share personal things in my birthday week!

November

There was a day where I wore blue and made by me clothing. I started my series of posts Eating on the Cheap with a delicious chickpea pasta. I also shared my always growing stamp collection: part 1 and part 2.

December

I shared with you one of my favorite snacks during late fall/beginning of winter: Roasted Chestnuts. I made a completely ordinary sweatshirt super cute. I talked a little bit more about my stamp collection: part 3 and part 4.

And now I’m ready for 2012!

Year on Review 2011 – Part 1

January 5th, 2012 | blog | 1 Comment

2011 was a great year for this blog! It grew a lot. Mostly because I put a lot of effort here even when I didn’t have much time. Of course it’s noticeable that I was completely free on August, I posted almost everyday! But I truly think that it was amazing this year for my blog and I believe 2012 will be also amazing. One of my resolution last year was to post 200 posts, I reached 159! I think it’s a great accomplishment :)
I’m going to talk a little bit about what happened last year.

January

I was completely exhausted from college this semester. I was desperate to do something craft related during Christmas holidays, this means my room was a total mess.
I talked about something I did in the summer: Polka dot skirt & Newspaper Bag.
I didn’t made any resolution in the new year but instead did it a couple months earlier in my birthday:
I posted many art journal pages: You Can’t Please Anyone EVER & A Walk to Remember

February

This month I had lots of exams (like in January) and I was tired but I was also completely obsessed with art journaling. I talked about how much I wanted to improve my drawing and start believing myself more.
Art Journal Pages: Technicolor Thursday & Strips of Paper & January & Dream BIG

March

I talked a little bit about how life not always is perfect but beautiful ice rocks that only mother nature can make also show us how beautiful life is. I also posted about my love for dresses and my inspiration jar.

April

I showed you my first cross stitch earrings and later opened up a online shop! I went geocaching for the first time and to a cyanotype workshop!

May

I bought a ticket to go to France and I was so excited about it! I made marbles without magnets and a simple bracelet that served as a good reminder.

June

I talked about my best day ever, I was very happy because I felt tired and wasn’t sure this 2nd of college would end very well. I made plans to go visit Louvre in France. I made something look amazing with a little bit of paint!

Tomorrow be ready for part 2!
